• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Shades of Blue

:banghead: Took my 2011 Spyder RTS in for the left front fender replacement, from the Key West Conch train incident. Conch Train hit my parked spyder. My spyder is orbital blue. The new fender looks very close to orbital blue but has a slight purple hue and is a shade lighter in color. I have a great dealer and the service manager says he will check into it and get the problem resolved. I guess BRP produced other shades of blue for other spyder models and years.

I do too! :2thumbs:
When I saw the first pics of the 2012 models; I just knew that they had played with the colors...:gaah:

Bob got it right!

:joke::bowdown: You were correct Bob. I got a call from my dealer yesterday. BRP sent a 2012 fender for my 2011. By the way. The Florida Keys do not get that hot in the summer compared to mainland Florida. We are islands surrounded by the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico. Miami is normally 5 degrees hotter than Key Largo in the summer, and in the winter the Keys are 5 degrees warmer. We do have mosquitos as big horse flies in the summer.

Big mosquitoes? We have a hunting camp in the Adirondacks that grows some decent-sized critters... The bugs come with landing lights! We measure the mosquitoes by the inches... between the eyes!!! :yikes:
They're not the worst even. There are some tough :cus: that we call deerflies; mostly because they can pick up a deer and carry it back to the swamp for the rest of the swarm!
I had one on my shoulder once (NO LIE!) and it chewed throug a chamois shirt to try and get to me... After a six round hatchet fight I sent him back to Hades, but I needed a six-pack of hydraulic sandwiches to replace all of the fluids that he drained from me! :gaah:

Know about deer flys. We have 'em down here too. Hydraulic sandwiches are the only treatment for their bite.
