• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Shad luggage for the F3

When you get your Corbins I'll take you old shad cases and rack at half price from you. ;-)

I understand and appreciate your spirit of generosity but I could not do that to a friend - once we are finished with them they will go straight to the crusher.

They are detachable and lock on the bike.
they have liners you can buy to keep things from
falling out. I ordered the complete set. The brackets and liners arrive
today and the bags are set to arrive on Thursday

Tell us more. Who makes them and how did you mount them? I see a backrest in the photo so they do not appear to take up the rear seat.

Givi makes the luggage,, I made the mounting bracket per Spyder Jim directions "easy to do"and others on this site who mounted Givi bags.. The backrest is BRP.. The side bags are 46lt and the top case is 52lt the trunk I believe is 24lt .. The luggage is the Trekker series..

The Shad setup is about the best thing goin in my opinion.. The price is right,, they hold a decent amount and they look great.. I wanted enough storage for a two week trip for me n the wifey n that's why I went my route.. I would have never considered Corbin because all their stuff is over priced and having dealt with them for 20 + years their product quality and customer service is all over the map!!! The bike I'm sitting on in my avatar has a Corbin seat on it and it was the one thing I ever ordered from them that I didn't send back..

Bags fresh out of the box, and mounted

As I promised here are some photos of the Shad luggage system installed

Sorry for messy garage....Hope this helps give you an idea of how they look, the mount without bag, bag without, Shad reflector, bag attached, side and rear, with full face modular helmet. Hope to enjoy the bike with a short ride tomorrow.

Used them today and they work just fine. They aren't fiberglass like Corbin but no gaps or locking issues either, and 1/3rd the price, so yes, they work just fine for me.

If that's a messy garage I hate to think what mine is. Thanks for the pictures!

Detaching the bag

Thanx to everyone who posted pics. Could you tell me more about the detaching I only saw I ne person say they were detachable how easy how fast and then does it carry like a suit case ect.

Yes, just lift the flap all the way up and pull up and rearward and the bags come right off.
They are lockable as well so no one else can remove them from your bike.
i bought the liners and just use them like a set of luggage. They look good and seem to be made well, have a shoulder strap as well as a hand strap.

There's a good video on you tube showing the bags, removal and the liners:

About to order a set from a UK dealer as they are actually cheaper over here for a change!! They are made in Spain so they should be of course.

Thanks for all the posts and pictures of these fitted, really helped me decide to pull the trigger. I'll post some of mine once I've got them on.

Anyone know if SHAD have plans to make a top case fitting kit?
