• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sewing Machine sound

I was going to the gym today and decided to wear my half helmet. This was the first time I've used a half helmet on the spyder and I could not believe what I was hearing.......the engine sounds like a sewing machine.

Ummmm... get to know your spyder! When it doesn't sound like that, might be time for a look see :)

It's not a Harley, an GL, or anything else! It has it's own sound.... I pick up on these sounds myself and I recommend you do to. You will know when something has changed or maybe not right!

Sounds like your getting "in tune" with your ride :)

Thought I was in tune, I think I am getting intimate now. But you are very correct knowing what the normal sound will be key in picking out when it sounds abnormal.

:agree: the rs does sound completely different with the half helmet. I noticed that last year when riding mine with the same. at first I thought something was going on, but soon realized it was just the air dynamics of the helmets that was hiding or distorting the sounds. weird to say the least!

Can't say..!!

we use modular helmets so we hear it both ways...then we changed the exhaust so it sounds like a real engine. Now installed JT's air system and it sounds even better...but if you like the quiet stick with it the stock set up...

TBR carbon canister

I went for a quick ride today, boy does that TBR muffler sound good, not too loud, as I have fitted a P1-X power tip to it, but that roar that makes you feel you have some real power between your legs.
