• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Service manual?

retread

New member
I ordered the service manual and supplement about 2 months ago, had to pay up front, and was told they were back ordered. Dealer just called me, said BRP will not give him an availability date, or much of anything else in the way of info. Anybody have any idea what's going on?

+At 3k service Saturday, the dealer (Dutchess Rec.) checked and said the service manual I'd ordered was scheduled to arrive this week.

They didn't ask me for pre-payment, however, I'd already applied a small (~$23) vehicle invoice tax error towards it when I picked up the bike last month.

I'll keep you posted.

Ride on.

My dealer said that service manual is being updated and available sometime in late Oct. Wouldn't let me order one in Sept. because they did not have a price from BRP, only a price on the previous manual. Sounds like it is now available to order. I'll try and order one next tuesday when i go in for 600 mile service.

I paid 155.00 for mine if you can get it for 30.00 jump on it but beware make sure its the real deal it sounds to cheep to me but i have seen crazyer things :read:

eBay pdf manual

Has anyone tried the manual from ebay? If yes or no, any comments, what about copyright issues etc ???:dontknow:

Ordered it and should be getting a link to download. Will keep you posted. I asked the seller if he had authorization to sell pdf and he said yes. Now, when I get it and have it on my laptop, then I'll call BRP and ask if such a thing is authorized. We'll see what develops.:spyder:

BTW, anybody have 10K on their "roadmobiles"?

a guy here at work just did it and tried to print it its all there but printer ran out of ink and paper thats alot of printing but if your gone to keep it in your pc I guess it's ok

The download manual is very well done, in searchable pdf format, and includes not only the manuals, but a lot of tech bulletins, as well as all the installation instructions for the BRP accessories. You can download it up to 5 times within a 5-10 day window, so if you want it on your home, work, laptop computers, it's doable. Also can be burned to disc or dropped in a thumb drive. I doubt that I'd get
$160 worth of use out of the shop manual since so much stuff needs special tools and the BUDS gizmo, but I definitely can get $30 worth of use. It's a deal.
Get your deposit back and pop for the download.:2thumbs:

Over 10,000 miles? I do, I think. Its been so long since I've ridden it, I forget how many miles I have on it. :( I think I'm closer to 12,000.

I bought the 10bucks shop manual and it seems to be complete
all 575 pages of them
pdf files about 250mb downloaded in few minutes

Thanks for the money saver, I've been putting off buying the manual for 4 months now because its around $130 here (Canada)

Thanks for that link powerbyaj. For $9, I'll give it a try when I get home tonight.
