• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

. These are called (Tomar Rect-13LS) Tomar Intelligent LED Series. They have a programmable internal flasher with 20 programs. use just shy of 0.4 amps at 12volt.

Those look great. I have been looking for something like that. They look really bright - would you say that they could be too bright? I am looking for something that bright but not bright enough to "blind" the driver behind me.

Not too Bright

These are the same mini LED lights used on Undercover Police vehicles. They are SUPER Bright and dependent on the position u mount them, they could cause the driver behind you to see spots. I have them mounted in just about the right location so as to Gain Formidable Attention and Be Seen. I have a set on my GL 1800 and I was told that they are almost blinding from behind. I love to make sure my wife is seen when she's coming to a stop. We've noticed people stop a lot further back from us when they see the lights come on.:2thumbs:

Are they legal?

IN my state, brake lights may strobe a maximum of 5 times before they go solid. People stop farther back because they don't know what they are coming up on. Don't be surprised if a police officer stops you and has a "talk" with you about what is basically a strobe light instead of a brake light.

Nice and bright!

If I am seeing it right, the light hanging above the rear tire won't last long as a good bump or dip moves the swing-arm and the back tire/fender up to almost touching the bottom where the light is mounted. I put side cases on my RS and the kit moves the blinkers down to the rear fender and I thought I would be smart and put an extra brake light between the blinkers. Made the first road trip and noticed the brake light had hit the above part and it was broken! Below is a picture before it was broken.

Well she's put over 1000 miles with those lights on there, and hasn't broke them off yet... So it seems her STS suspension doesn't move that much. I've followed her and that suspension seems to stay at least 4 inches or better from hitting the light. We've already chatted with multiple Po-lice and there's not an issue with the rate of flashes or type of lights. They are just happy that they aren't swirling...definitely gets noticed for sure.

Thanks for that info!!!

So will the Tomar light burn constantly to be able to work with this module?

If so, this seem like a MUCH cheaper alternative to some of the other brands out there.

Hmm.. the light sticks and some of the minis - can they be used as aux running lights up front (in white, of course)?

If you watch the show Castle, I think the lights in the grill of Becket's car has these lights. Quite bright.
