• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SENA Pairing - SENA Tech Service - Procedure to follow

Hello fellow Spyderlovers,

I have seen a lot of post about SENA Bluetooth pairing. I have had my SENA for about a year (SM10 & SMH10's). This year I had intermittent losses on my radio (transmitter to headset issue just on my set, not my wife's headset).

So....I contact the SENA Tech Service and asked them for the exact way to pair my headsets and a smartphone. Many of you may have this procedure down, but somehow, my system needed to get "refreshed". So I used this "new" method and so far it seems good. The "old" way I had the pairing was the phone would pair first and then search for the SM10 transmitter -- this is wrong according to the tech.

NOW, the SMH10 pairs to the SM10 transmitter FIRST and then the cell phone per procedures attached.

Anyways - hope this helps some of you if you have issues with pairing your SENA system -- see attached picture for the pairing procedure!

Even the old instructions says that the stereo music device is to be paired first. The trouble was that they did not tell you that until after the instructions for pairing your phone.

Yes, I thought the manual could be much better written as I know many of us have had questions with pairing. You would think they would sequence the manual in the way you do the pairing!

If you need help, they do a good job of responding both by email and phone (FYI....SENA Tech Service number is: 866-300-1235 ).

I spoke to SENA yesterday. They had our problem fixed in less than 10 minutes. The tech admitted the books are vague, and could be better. :hun: Tom :trike:
