• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sena Customer Service

I have owned Sena units for YEARS and have had a couple of occasions to ask questions of their customer service/tech unit. I have always received replys within a few hours.

My latest question was sent 2 days ago. A second notification sent yesterday morning. No response back. This is odd and I am only reacting to past experience not being impatient.

Anyone else had this happen lately? Is the problem with the new 20 delivery giving them such headaches that they are ignoring questions about their SLIGHTLY older products?

Response time...phone number for you....

I sent an email earlier this year with a question to SENA and it took about 24 hours for the response.

I have used the SENA technical service number....had to wait about 15 minutes to get a hold of a Tech., but once he was on the phone, very helpful and really knew his stuff.

If you want to try, here's the SENA technical service number (I think they are in California): 866-300-1235

We use our SENA system all the time and have enjoyed it greatly! :D:D:D

BTW, the manuals have a lot to be desired for their instructions...if you need the pairing information, I have the write-up from the Tech. It's simpler and works great!

I haven't used their tech lines in a year or so, but when I did I was BS's with the tech and found out that Sena is a really small company. They only have a warehouse type operation with only one or two techs. Their bigger operation is overseas at the plant, which I don't remember whether or not is owned by Sena or just manufactures the products to their specs.

I have seen the instructions you posted. They are helpful.

I have used Sena since 2009. They have been responsive. This is the first time they have not. The request shows "waiting to be assigned".

The difficulty I am having is since I added the SR10. This along with the SM10, SMH10 and iPhone. I will give them the weekend before calling. Thanks for the info.

Hi

Any write up on how to pair with a bluetooth GPS?

Joe

Here's what I received back from them....your manual should tell you about the GPS. Mine hooked up right away, but I don't use that function anymore through my headsets.

Here's the instructions I received from them about my question - hope that helps! (if it doesn't call them or email them - good luck!)
Hi Jim,
The SM10 connects Via A2DP, your smart phone (android or iOS) has A2DP and HFP, the SMH10 has only 1 A2DP and 2 HFP channels.
You can pair your SMH10 to the SM10 via Phone Pairing, first delete the Sena Pairing on the phone first. Then
1 Power on SMH10
2 Hold the Phone button (small button on the back) for 5 seconds until you hear phone pairing
Then Set SM10 to headset #1 pairing
1 Power on SM10
2 Hold Center button for 5 seconds until Blue Light Flashes
And wait for the headset to pair with the SM10
Then Pair Smart Phone to SMH10 via Multi Point Pairing
1 Power On SMh10
2 Hold Jog Dial button until you hear Intercom Pairing then release and with in 2 seconds press the Small Phone button on the back. you will hear her say "Multipoint Pairing"
Then on phone perform a scan or search for device and when you see SMH10 on the phone select it to begin the pairing.
Now you will have SMH10 paired with SM10 and Smartphone, however you will not be able to listen to music on the Smartphone only phone calls and all media will come from SM10, however you can still connect phone via 3.5mm to SM10 to listen to music on your phone along side another other media you wish to connect to the SM10.

Maybe this is the reason they are having such difficulty getting the new Sena 20S out into the marketplace. The backlog on their website continues to be 2-4 weeks.

I have used Sena SMH10's For a number of years no problems

Once had a question when new firmware was introduced with some new functions being added - I asked a question via their support Helpdesk/Forum
they answered it there and others can see both the question and answer so this is a useful section on the Sena Website

To see if the question has been asked and answered first - Just go to :-

http://support.senabluetooth.com/home

Hope this helps

Sena finally answered and apologized for the time element. Info given was what I was looking for. As usual their interest in their customers is great.
