• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sena Cavalry Helmet

Im not sure will tell you Tuesday. All I know is it was 94 degrees with 100 percent humidity and we road 165 miles and stopped and hiked 2.5 miles in the middle and it was miserable with the 3/4 helmet. Thats why we are looking at dunce caps. I know with my 3/4 helmet with the mic boom I do not speak loud at all. Infact sometimes my wife says speak up because we talk to quietly and can hear everything perfect. I was told by a guy that has the sena calvary that you don't have to yell at all. Tilt you head down a touch and rock your eyes towards the top and there is absolutely no wind sound with on a phone. He says he doesn't yell at all. Infact he has been on the bike last Spring on a conference call when they were stay at home and no one knew he was on the bike. So if it is that way on the phone it should be the same on the intercom. Come Wednesday you will see a report from me for sure. Already told the wife we are going for an icrecream cone 100 miles away. I'll be hitting back roads and main 4 lane HWY at 70 just too try it out. I'll report back for sure!

HOLY COW! Here is my review of the intercom system on the Calvary! At 65 MPH I have the Calvary on as the driver and my wife has a 3/4 helmet with 20 Evo with no shield. At 65 she could hear very little to no wind and I was speaking at normal voice and it was blasting her out of the helmet. I could hear my own voice out of her speakers while she was wearing the helmet behind me. She turned her's to half volume or 5 clicks on the rotated wheel and it was perfect for her. Then she started talking and she blasted me out of my helmet. The volume in the calvary is AWESOME! I clicked 5 down on the negative button and with the RT and the windshield all the way up it was as clear as our full faced modular helmets. We were doing 65mph. I AM IMPRESSED! Then I did something that we would not do normally. I squeezed the throttle to 75MPH lowered the windshield all the way down with vehicles passing us and the radio up. She could hear me and the radio was actually echoing in her helmet. She could hear the radio and my voice and very little to no wind. The calvary is the real deal! I also think the speakers are better than the 20evos! A hog blew us at 65 and it sounded suer loud in my wife helmet. No need to yell. No need for full volume either! For us it seems the size is one size smaller than our 3/4 helmets. The large Calvary is to big. We are going to go try a medium tomorrow but I am afraid we might be to late. The mediums from Sena are all sold out. I am guessing Dave will have none too. It took a bit of playing around. At first I couldn't get them to pair. Then I tried something different and yes the 20 Evo and calvary do pair. Now I just have to figure out how to pair 4 helmets so I don't have to do that anymore.

Thanks for the great review of this super helmet..... Don't let the SENA website fool you, I have the Cavalry helmets in all sizes right now. 8/27/20

How's the comfort in that style helmet?? Fit your head well?

Mikey, as you’re aware, every head is different, so what’s perfect for me, may not be for you. Now, with that said, the Cavalry helmet for me fits perfectly. It’s an ‘ALL DAY’ helmet. Very comfortable.

I find it firm inside verse the spungy feeling like other dunce caps. It fits me very well along with my wife. We are both oval heads. So Bell and HJC fits very similar on our head. It is very light weight with a bit wide so the straps are not against your ears persay. Its a dunce cap so as long as its not pushing up off your head and slides down to the top of your hairline its comfortable. Plenty fo room for sunglasses too. I wear dark safety glasses. I am impressed with the fit, feel and performance but yes everyone fits different as stated above. Hope you understand the firm vs spungy and oval. Best I can explain.
