• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SENA Cavalry Helmet, FACESHIELD???

I have had people tell me they have found them at Cycle Gear.
you must remove the visor and snap on the face shield using the same
snaps on the helmet as the visor.

Dave, there are no snaps...only screws. I have seen, as a matter of fact “have” the ones with snaps, and gthey are not wide enough to even think about fitting.

To bad the the Bell helmets (that came with snaps) are still not around. I had one that accommodated both the visor and face plate at the same time. The face plate part had additional snaps to fit a universal visor. Have not seen this setup in years though.

Not so on the newest Bell/Sena Mag 9. A modular type helmet.

So, I followed the link and ordered. Just received the faceshield this morning. It is as ordered, BUT...... you still cannot add the visor unless you make alterations to the visor (extend the holes on either end of the visor, so that they are slots rather than holes. I haven’t done this yet, but plan on trying to do it. So, if anyone else is ordering, be forewarned.

just got the cavalry helmet, the helmet comes with m6-1 female thread nuts molded in the helmet,to replace them you need to find a machine thread snap with that thread pitch, they don't make one.The snap on visor with sun shield so far will not work. The snap are made to fit a standard style snap helmet, meaning the cavalry helmet holes are far wider than a stock one .So this is so far a bust, but will keep looking into this
