• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sena 20's

Can anyone tell me if the new Sena 20's charge lasts longer than the 10's, on long rides.

I bluetooth my phone, intercom and music on a Sena 10 and have gone 8 hours or slightly more on a full charge. Always do the updates on the 10's when notified they're available. May need a new headset in the near future and wondering if upgrading to the 20's is worth it.

Can't help you on this yet. We also have the 10's. So far (2nd season) they are working well. We get a full day out of each charge--have never had them go dead on a ryde.

Don't know if I would change because of longer charge time or even extended range--at this point in time, don't need either.

What usually happens though, the 20's will become "the item," and the 10's will eventually become obsolete.

PS: When it comes time for a new set, I will probably go for the 20's. Motorcycle Dave is a sponsor, so will get first priority.

Battery Life

Peeople who have responded to me about just that say they are getting
10 to 12 hours use before charging.... I know that if I get on to one of my bikes
or the Spyder I can ride all day and it still works when I get home. I just plug it
in and charge it up. One time with my SMH10 unit it went dead in the middle of
Nevada going from Salt Lake to San Francisco so I just pulled over got out the
12 Volt cord that came with the set plugged it in and kept going and using it while
it charged...

I am now awaiting for my dual set to be replaced! I have had a ton of issues but it seems to be mostly me so maybe the new set that is on the way will solve the problems. There is sooo may ways to pair these units with other devices, I will do it this time --- while on the phone with support.

One thing that is surprising is that the 20S will pair with ONLY one non-20S headset! I have to admit I was lead to believe it would pair with more. It will, however pair with up to 9 other 20S headsets. (At least, this is what tech support has told me!!)

As for battery life, Mine lasted all day (10+ hours) and when I turned it on the next morning, without recharging, I got three flashes which means still 75%. The unit, however, died in 10 minutes - so this was only one of may problems with the unit.

Do not hesitate to buy these units based on my comments! Others have had great results!!

Thanks for your input BMWLarry.

I had thought that the 20's would pair to the 10's in the 9 unit total, but now will have to see if the 10 is considered a a "non" unit. Mine is the 10 and hubby's would be the 20 so that would put a crimp on communications when we ride with others. :sour: I need to check on that!

I was also disappointed when I read they will only pair with only one other non Sena headset. I am also having a problem with the volume too low hearing the commands which others are reporting on the Sena support forum. I hope this is fixed soon in the next release of software.
