• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sena 20S warning

LAST COMMENT....

It is unfair to say this is a Sena 20S warning.... It's ANY product that uses LiPo technology batteries. Abuse them and they puff!

So to call this a 20S warning, trust.... It's all headsets as they all use LiPo batteries (Scala, Garmin, Sena, GoPro, etc)... They use LiPo's because unlike LiOn that need more circuits and usually a metal case, is far heavier. Oh and the PRICE... LiOn costs a lot more to use and implement, AND has far less run time compared to charge time.

You make very good points. I guess the reason I feel this is a warning is so that people can be aware that this can happen and could indeed cause a fire. There was no way to tell that this battery was "puffed" until I opened the case; it was performing better than the one that was still normal. With your RC battery, at least you were able to tell right away that this had occurred. One possible clue was that the one with the puffed battery did not quite have a distinctive "click" when pressing the jog dial due to the internal swelling. The jog dial did still work, though.
