Sena 10u / Remotes

So I put a Sena 10U in my Neotec and find that the handlebar remote doesn't play well on the left handgrip with the SE6.

Questions...

1. Has anyone gotten the handlebar remote to work well somewhere?

2. I was thinking of getting the wristband remote and putting it on the handlebar just to the right of the RECC. Has anyone done this?

With the odball shape and size of the RT's handle bars
I think you may have hit upon something there, as long
as the strap is long enough.

What I'd really like is a remote that can start and stop the 10C's camera. While wearing gloves I find it very difficult to find the controls on the 10C on the side of my helmet. Anyone who has seen any of Shawn Smoak's videos knows the remote he uses to start, stop, and see elapsed time. I want that and I don't want to have to purchase a GoPro to get it.

Yeah, I know, I don't want much.

So let's say Sena support was a little less than helpful and could not tell me the biggest circumference the remote will fit on. The best I got was average wrist size but since that was up to 9" and the handlebar there is 8.25" I think it will fit. I ordered one and will try it out and report. The suggested the Gadget Mount bar and to use the included handlebar remote but that's just too much/big for what I want. I'll update, and yes, with pictures by the weekend.

So another thread reminded me of this and I remembered I did not update this. I got the wristband remote and it worked out very well. The strap is way long enough and it fits in perfectly in that spot to the point some think it's part of the bike. I think it's a great solution to the standard handlebar remote if you have an SE5/6 with paddle shifters. The standard handlebar remote installed perfectly on rear handlegrips for the rear passenger.

I just got a SpyderCuff from Lamonster and will install that shortly on the right side.

Revisit... any less expensive solutions?

Hi Gang, This post is about 2 years old, and the best solution, at that time, was to buy the wristband remote (which has an MSRP of $100), and not use the remote that came with the 10U. Has anyone come up with another solution? Perhaps less expensive, and uses the remote that came with the 10U?

Thanks!!
Todd

Hi Dave here
Most people prefer the wristband remote because you can put it most any place on
on the bars or your wrist.
Dave
PS I stock them all
