• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I said it before in another thread about the Phantom and I'll say it again. Don't get taken in by the wording "Limited Edition" and pay more for this. The Phantom is simply a compilation of available Spyder accessories and the new rims which will be available this spring or summer. There's nothing limited about it.

I'm locked in at $16,399 + TTL.

I have been calling around to other dealers in the region and they are quoting me up to $19.9K.

I don't think they come with the Hindle and Black Spoke rims - I think maybe the pictures you have might be from a promo Spyder?

Anyone thinking this is a crappy deal with the $3340 worth of accessoried that come pre-loaded???? :chat:

Man, that thing is poetry! Unfortunately, I'm not willing to pay 19k for a poem......s'okay, I'm sure someone will.....

I'd be happy with a full moon that I could customize.....on second thought, I'd be happy with a Spyder period.....few more months....hopefully the credit market will loosen up by then....20% interest is not what's cool:yikes:...

I got the promo from BRP and decided against it. It is loaded with accessories that I either 1) didn't want, 2) could get elsewhere cheaper, or 3) could get better product elsewhere (No Magic Neon or KewlMetal).

It was better for me to go on my own and get the EXACT Spyder I wanted.

Thats the way I went with my SE.

Got the silver at 7% below publish price

added Leo exhaust at $469, risers, HIDs at $99, Fogs added HIDs at $369, sway bar, KN air filters, fuel control, race airflow, powerbus system, 02 modifier and its in shop for a new paint work. TM cruise control. LEDs etc etc

Deciding between Pearl White or totally opp matte black.....cost $500 painting whole bike. Disassemble all plastics on my own though.

I glimpse all this info thru this forum over the 10 months and this is my second Spyder, sold the first....may be selling this and going back to SM5, prefer the self control manual!!!

Thank you all for all the help.

Sorry guys God did not play any role.

Phantom not limited

My dealer kept telling me the phantom was limited edition because I wanted an SE5 but I wanted black and found it at another dealership the SE5 with the kit put on. He kept telling me it wasn't a phantom, because they are only manuals. I told him it was an SE5 with the same kit on, and he said "see, not a phantom." They were charging less for the SE5 with the kit on it than the Phantom they had on the floor of the dealership I was at. Anyway, it's just a spyder with parts put on that you can buy cheaper elsewhere....I now have an SE5 with all the phantom parts on it.
