• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Seeking Spyder Owner's advice

LOVE LOVE LOVE MY SPYDER

I am fast approaching 20k miles on 12 months of ryding. If you are looking for perfection, aka no problems...for me that will only happen when I get to heaven. Life is full of issues...it is how I handle them that matters. Now re when I purchased my 2010 RTSE5...I immediately purchased the B.E.S.T. extended warranty. Did I EXPECT problems...nope...but I have lived long enough to know that new production items sometimes have more "bugs" than later models..so for me the extended warranty added a layer of confidence...BUT no major issues..little issues that I have had the dealer(s) have been incredible for "fixing"...nothing has slowed me down except a human error on an oil change and dealers went overboard on customer service to keep me rolling down the hiway.
BUT you have to decide what you require for assurance/insurance and then make your decision based on that need. I am responsible for my choices as is every other Spyder owner...I am sooooo thankful that I got my Spyder...it has brought me hours of fun, joy and meeting great people. Already looking forward to getting 200k on the present Ms Spyder and replacing her in 2015...

14500 miles on the 2008 rs-sm5 and 19600 miles on the RT-S SE5. Only one problem with the 2008 and that was taken care of in less than a week. Very happy owner.:ohyea:
