• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Seeking heated glove advise

The Mrs wants heated gloves, and what she wants, she gets. Looking for recommendations on what brands you're happy with and which ones to avoid. Prefer the kind that hard-wire to 12v of the bike (not replaceable batteries) and have temp choices. Thanks!

Nancy has Gerbings, and they work well for her. They do require an adjustable temperature controller (separate), and are easiest to hook up to the heated jacket liner instead of the goofy y-harness that runs down your arms. The newer versions with the micro-wires are less bulky. Try them on at a store, if possible. We get ours at the BMW shop, but other shops that cater to the touring motorcyclist may have them.

My wife and I both use Gerbings also. They work just great. If you use them with a Gerbings jacket you'll probably want a dual controller so the heat in the jacket and the heat in the gloves can be individually set.
