I have a new 2014 rt-s se6 with less than 3000 miles. my question is anyone else having a problem with the front of their seat splitting do to no padding on the top edge of the seat in the very front. mine has been cut due to no padding between the metal and the cover.:banghead:

Some seats on earlier RT's had a problem with stitching splitting out.

I have over 13,000 miles on my current RT OEM seat (2014) and no issues. Another seat (the BRP comfort) is on order because I finally gave in to not being able to stand more than 50 miles on the OEM seat.

Many people have had your bad seat stitching problem solved through warranty. I would recommend seeing your dealer and have them order a replacement.

it is not the stiching coming out it is split right on the top edge of the front just like u took a knife an cut it

A talk with the dealer is still recommended. A new seat should not self-destruct.

Always start with the dealer for warranty questions. Then double check with brp...then search out altenatives. That stiching /cutting through was a problem for a while...:thumbup:

That happened to my OEM seat.

Happened before the first oil change. Emailed the dealer some photos showing where it was pulling apart. The dealer contacted BRP and replaced it under warranty. It took 2 weeks to get the replacement seat. 4500 miles later, no probs with the new seat. I have it in a box in the garage.

I replaced it with a used comfort seat the week before spyderfest. Then at spyderfest, my wife wanted to buy me an Ultimate seat. who am I to deny my wife?

Sold the comfort seat. Love the Ultimate seat.

Would like to sell the OEM seat. It came off my 2014 RT-S SM6.

I had that happen twice on my 2011. Take it to your dealer...it should be handled no problem under warranty. If it ISN'T, seek out a new dealer.

Hi Dave here, if you have no help at the dealer... Go to a local auto upholstery shop
they can fix it in a few min. for little $$$$
however you will have to remove the seat and take it to them.
at my shop we do about 2 or 3 a week on several brands of motorcycles, ATV's and
watercraft.

went to my dealer yesterday an they contacted brp it is going to be replaced under warranty. really no problem looked at it took a picture sent it to brp came right back in an hour going to replace,can't beat that for service. thank's to all that replied.:yes:
