• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This has happened to others and was covered under warranty, unless they can show that you did it deliberately

Our 2011 RTS has started to have the stitching come loose. Was unaware that this could be a warranty item?

it has been a warranty item for several folks, not sure how far back they will go, and may not be covered under extended warranty, but can't hurt to try.

Little checking..!!

have seen it several times and was covered under warranty. Run it by the dealer (hope he will go to bat for you) and have them look at it. Don't remember if it's by vin# age or use but they do cover them...

I had the same problem on my 2012 RT that was a year old at the time and BRP replaced the seat without any hassles.

More good info passed along because someone asked a question, Ya gotta love it when everything comes together.

Tearing seat

I have a 2013 RT and the same thing happened at the front of the seat. i took it in the first week of July. The dealer took a picture of it and turned it in to BRP who replaced it no charge. From the time i took it in to the time they replaced it took about two weeks, they let me know when the seat came in, i needed an oil change anyway so everything worked out for me.

Been there

My seat had popped a stitch and was clearly defect.
I took a picture as soon as I noticed it, then took it to the dealer where they too took a picture.

It was replaced via warranty.

As others have mentioned: the seat stitching problem has cropped up from time to time. In most cases, I believe this was handled under warranty.

I would recommend taking pictures and take it into the dealer to document the situation at once. This will give them time to get you a different seat and can be taken care of sooner than later.

Early documentation is better than later--IMO.

It is. I've had it happen twice. Take it to your dealer and they should replace it without any problems.

It seems to be a common issue. What do you do if you are out of warranty? The '14s no longer have that poorly designed front stitching for a reason. If it were me I would be asking for a 14 seat for replacement but I have and Ultimate and it does not have this issue neither does Corbin.:dontknow:

I never said this, but some people have got a replacement when out of warranty. I think it depends on the dealer and how nice one is about it. :roflblack:

I hear ya and have read it too just like BRP paid for some ST vented panels and not others. It is a design defect on both issues that is not elevated to a recall. :dontknow: It really should not matter how "nice" you are or well known everyone should be treated the same IMHO.

Both of mine were covered under warranty, fortunately. My third one, the one I have now, has been on for almost 10,000 miles and shows no signs of coming apart, so maybe they finally got things straightened out.

My 2010 RT was replaced once, do not remember how long ago, but I discovered a couple days ago, it is doing it again.
