• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Seat strut on the RT

I replaced the stock seat with an Ultimate with backrest, and now the strut won't hold the seat up. Does anyone know a part number for a stronger strut? Blue Knight Mike, what numbers can I cross reference for McMaster Carr?

Hi, I sent you a couple of PM's ….. McMaster Carr ( listed as a gas spring ) # 4138T56 …. that's for the size of the part …. you need to pick how much FORCE you need …. Mike :ohyea:

How much force would it be for the regular RT seat???

I just went and checked that for my OEM RT seat strut ( now off the bike ) … pressure needed started at 22 lbs and was 28 lbs fully compressed …. hope this answers your Question ( see my post #3 for the part number you need - they have 30 & 40 lb struts )…… Mike :ohyea:
