• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Seat question/options?

Hey Folks, Just thought I would inquire about this. I have a 2008 GS and have upgraded with the BRP Comfy seat which is waaaay better than the OEM 2X4. I have added few other expensive pieces too make it more ridable for long rides and all are succesful.(HELI-RISERS,Floor boards,Hi-way pegs) But when I sit on my trike it would just be better if I could could sit back farther like right where the hump is that separates the driver/passenger which I never have behind me anyway. Im thinking CORBIN may supply a seat? Or maybe a seat that is more flat across it without the hump between driver/pass Any suggestions? Im not overly tall at 6' but anything too add too the riding would be cOOl Thanks Doug

Seats

Hchays has a nice Russell day long seat for sale on the for sale board. I don't know where that falls in the leg room category, but he is 6'6". The Corbin is an inch closer to the bars than the stock seat. At least the one I have is. The st seat is an inch farther away from the bars than the stock seat. Does that help any ?

Hi Dave here
Well let's see if I can help since I have the same Spyder as you I have the HEILI BAR risers the Rivco floor boards and the
corbin seat.... however there is not much left of the corbin seat mostly just the pan... the stock seat is one piece the Corbin
is 2 sections front rider and rear passenger. the front section puts you closer to the area that would be a gas tank on a motorcycle so it puts you much closer than the stock seat so unless you are a shorter person say 5'6" to maybe 5'10" you will
have to modify the Corbin a bunch... I have a brand new Corbin in the shop right now I am going to attack on Tuesday and do
the same I did for mine, cut the seat back as far as possible remove most of the foam you sit on replace it with GEL and memory foam and make a new cover for it to his specs.
On a Stock seat or on a comfort seat it is not as involved all you have to do is remove the cover and mark the seat where you
to be sitting and cut away all the area that is in the way, this requires cutting off some and then sitting on it for fit if not right
keep doing it until it feels good to you, then install GEL if you like or just put a layer of memory foam and put on the new upholstery/cover.... you need a new cover because your old one will not fit.
Go to my website and look at the pictures in the photo section also go to my upholstery website and check photos there

Good luck on your seat adventure

I have the original sear from my 09 boxed up in my garage but getting it to you might be a hassle. It could be the pan for your new Day Long. We could explore it.
