• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi everyone, I'm very new to this stuff. I need a seat for my 2012 RT. I want to go on long rides, but I won't because of back problems. Does anyone have a seat for sale with driver backrest?

Where in Florida are you ?

I have a brand new stock RT seat available.....cheap....but no backrest.

Drop me a private message.

I have a Ultimate grey and black seat with driver back rest for sale off my 2014 RT LTD. I know own a 2018 RT LTD Black Edition Blue.

I am not positive of the question, so if I am providing useless info......

If it is a backrest issue, they can easily be added. I put a Utopia backrest on my 2018 Rt and love it. If you think the backrest may be it, you might try getting some stuffed gym bags, pillow etc in the passenger seat to create a fake backrest, and then lean back into it to see if it makes a difference by slightly changing weight distort and geometry.

If is it just the firmness of the seat, and the originals are pretty squishy, there are Airhawk pads that you can add, and there is also a del insert fro Motorcycle Dave. If the seat is way off, there are aftermarkets like others said, from BRP Comfort Seat to customs.

You need to be careful, because any investments to seat upgrades are only for that seat (e.g. backrest would only work with your original seat). I upgraded mine to a BRP Comfort and it helped, but adding a Utopia backrest changed it completely.

Thanks to all of you that responded. I didn't know you could install a backrest onto the oem seat (interesting option). Some of you even sent pm about a seat for sale. I am very grateful for this forum. Thanks for the help.

I put a Tombstone bag on my old bike for long trips. It helps with the back problems a lot. Comes with 3 or 4 different thickness of pads so it can be adjusted to fit just right. Short local trips the bag stays in the shop.

This is the tombstone bag on my old Sportster. It will also work on the Spyder.

Can you tell me how the tombstone bag attaches to your spyder? I have a 2019 RT Ltd. Thanks!

Just straps to bungie cord loops I added behind the passenger hand grips. You could strap them directly to the passenger hand grips.

The bag has several straps already attached to it. Just hook them up and take the slack out.

All the metal rings on the bag are for the tie down straps. Bag comes with plenty of nylon web tie down straps with adjuster buckles.
