Seat mod time

Hi all, I am about to remove the seat cover foam, I have one question, I have heated seats and my question is ,Is the heating pad or element on top or beneath the foam. I am installing a denser foam or gel ,I may have to dish out some of the existing foam and just want to know before hand what I am looking at. thanks.

Typically on top, or with a very thin layer of foam over it.

Although I haven't seen one for a Spyder, I have seen others, and they were always on top of the foam....... If it was under the Foam it would have to get so Hot to work it would melt the foam ....... jmho......... Mike :thumbup:

Depends....

:agree: but it may depend on whoses seat it is....once you pull the cover it should be clear. Most will be close the the top of the foam for max effect...:thumbup:

I was thinking that it maybe imbedded in the foam . If its on top great ill have this mod done soon. guys thanks again.

I pulled the skin off, the cushion you sell is it denser .the issue I am having with the stock foam is its to soft....

I put Dave's gel pad in my seat. When he says he will walk you thru it he isn't kidding. Dave held my hand all the way thru and it turned out great. His pad turned my stock seat only good for and hour or two into an all day seat. The gel does not collapse and supports you very well. It took me about 4 hours to do the install but I kept getting interrupted.
