• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2009 SE5 Roadster. I try to press in the key and turn it to release the seat to expose the gas tank but the key won't turn. It turns easily the other way to release the front trunk. Any ideas??

:congrats: and :welcome:!
I've never had that problem, but I would suggest pushing down on the front of the seat (over the latch) and turning the key at the same time. If that works, I would believe that the cable is in need of adjustment o lubrication.

Are you pushing down when the key is in the off position?
I ask because if you turn the key all the way to the right and then push down it won't open.

I have tried pushing the seat down and turning the key at the same time as suggestd. Also, I realize that first you push the key then turn it. It worked when I first got it home and also when I push the key in and turn it the other way the trunk release works fine

If pushing down on the right front corner of the seat while turning the key, or smacking it with the palm of your hand while tring to turn the key, doesn't work, you will have to see your dealer. You can even try sitting on the seat while turning the key, then get off while still holding the key in the unlocked position. Please realize that there is probably more resistance to turning the key to open the seat than there is the trunk. If you do get it open, lubricate the latch plate and the recess of the pin. I use waterproof silicone grease on the striking surfaces, and a little oil on the latch hinge pin and the surfaces that are not exposed. If that is not enough, adjust the latch pin attached to the seat, but be careful, you can easily make the problem worse.
