Seat Latch not opening

Hi. 2011 RS-S SE5. I went to get gas and couldn't open the seat. I press the key in but it doesn't turn, feels like I will break it off. The key does open the Frunk fine. I pulled the right side panel but cant get my hand in there to release it. It looks like the pin does not have excessive force as i watch it move when I move the seat up/down. Any ideas? I also heard the problem may be the cable jumping the guide under the the handle bars. how do I remove the plastics around the Handle Bars?

I am on fumes so a ride to the dealer is not possible.

Put the key in the middle precision push the key down and then turn it to the right , With your other hand press down on the seat., Hopes this helps?opcorn:
