The seat latch on my 2013 RT keeps failing. Unable to open seat to fill tank. Any suggestions?

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.
Seat Latch keeps malfunctioning

Please explain in a little more detail what happens or does not happen.Does the seat release but not pop up? Does it not release so you can't even lift it by hand? By what you have given us so far I would think that your cable needs to be adjusted to more fully pull back on the latch. That or lube the latch,or both.

Sometimes, the latch gets out of adjustment.
Are you pushing IN the key and then turning it CLOCKWISE?
If yes, a little help by pushing down on the seat over the latch area (right front of seat), OR, pushing on the front of the seat either right or left while engaging the key. Most times this will release the seat.
There is an adjusting nut on the seat latch that can be raised up or down to get a good lock/release.
