• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Had a beaded and sold it cause it was near worthless.
Had sheepskin and threw it out after 2 seasons cause it loses its cushyness and was difficult to clean.
I only ride on an AirHawk cause it works for me on long rides.

After some research I decided on the Airhawk R Large, you blow it up like 30 to 40% and find where it works best for you. I remember reading about someone who keeps changing it while riding, for instance start at 40% and drop 5% every once in a while, seems to help. I like it so far, has doubled my riding time because my butt don't hurt as much, one big plus is no more sweating in hot days. For $100 give it a shot.

i have used Airhawk's for about 6 yrs. I have two, one in font. When we go someplace where there are steel folding chairs or wooden benches I take my Airhock and sit on it there. It's very portable, I don't use the tiedown straps very often. great for my boney old butt.

I like the bead seat. I tried the AirHawk and didn't care for it. Because you're riding on a cushion of air, it makes you feel remote and disconnected from the bike. In a straight line it's not that big of a deal, but in corners it can be disconcerting. For hot weather the bead seat can't honestly be beat because you have air that does circulate under your bum. Bead seats are not everyone's cuppa, but I like it. However, you can slide around on them too, so what I did was to paint the beads with a coat of rubberized bedliner paint. No more sliding and it's easy to reply as needed.

Vote for AIRHAWK R- LARGE

I recently got an Airhawk R-large, tried it out on a 517 mile trip, it was perfect. The key is not to have too much air in it or you feel like your rolling around on top of it......Somebody once told me "you sit in it-not on it". Will be purchasing another for the wife. Highly recommended...

2016 rt-s and the cushion fits perfectly front and back

I had a sheep skin on my Yamaha Venture for 20 years. After about 20 years it lost its pile and was not as cushy. I did find that while it was warm in the cold it was also very cool in the summer. I really liked it. For the Spyder RT I put a gel pad from Motorcycle Dave (sponsor here) in the seat under the seat cover so you can't even tell it is there. It really made the seat comfortable and was not hard to install. Dave will help you if you get stuck. I had never done anything like this but mine looks and feels great.
