• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Seat bolts

Some time ago I had the seat off to do some heated seat wiring As I was putting the seat back in place I got side tracked and my friend that was there did me a favor and put the back rest back on.
Fast forward to the 4th of this month: I am now in Shasta Lake, CA waiting at Russell Seats waiting for my seat builder to get there so I get the tools out to remove the seat Back rest come off I look down between the trunk and the seat NO Bolts I look in the glove compartment there they lay, I had put over 3000 miles on with out have then in, I tried to move the seat no movement at all I unlocked it picked it up (had removed the shock cause it was a PITA) seat slipped out with no problem checking the paint there is NO place that shows that the seat had been moving at all, Put the new seat on road it home bolts still in Glove compartment.
I looks like if the locking bolt is in place the seat will not move.

Most of the seats I have ever had have had just one tab to secure the seat and the other just slid into a bracket. So when I found what I had done it got me thinking WHY. At my age I have a bunch of Why's about this ride. Most intriguing is Why not a spin-on filter, But then again we are talking BRP aren't we!
