• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HI ALL,
First post for me so it might not be perfect but here goes. I just bought a 2011 can am spyder RSS and the person I bought it from had 2 brothers pipes, nice seat, shorty tinted windshield, and nice factory removable back rest. The problem I have is that he did not get the cover for the tail when you take back rest off. When I ride without my wife I would like to take back rest off but I don"t know the part number for the cover and am having a hard time trying to bye the missing part. I went to dealer and they got me the cover it shows on the exploded view but it is just a stock plastic cover and does not fit. I read somewhere on this site about someone who had the same cast metal brp factory back rest and they spoke of a metal cover that went on in place of backrest. They did not go into much detail and showed no pictures nor part number.Please help if someone knows any info. Any help would be appreciated to fix this silly problem.The person I bought this fine machine from spent over 23000.00 on it and I bought it for 11000 with 250 miles on it so I don't mind spending a few extra bucks on it to make it perfect. I have only had it 3 weeks and love it. I have M.S. and my balance is less perfect so this is letting me ride a bike again. I am going to be 62 this year and it makes me feel like a kid again.

The part is called a "rear sport rack lid". Here is the part # for the carbon black one. 219400469 but they come in whatever matching color you need. If you Google search the part number, then click on Amazon, they have them in quite a few colors. They are about $90 new. EBay has used ones for a bit cheaper too.

Save yourself a bundle and a headache and go to ebay . They have a bunch in a variety of colors. :thumbup:
