• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Seal Floorboards and the Passenger

Ok, I installed Seal Floorboards on my 2012 RT SE5 A&C; however, as a result, the passenger footrests are forced up a few inches due to the mounting brackets used as part of the support for the floorboards. My girlfriend has long legs and this new arrangement causes her some discomfort particularly during longer rides. If I were to fold up the stock passenger footrests it appears that her feet can rest comfortably on the floorboards. Does anyone else ride in this manner? Is this safe, provided that her feet can rest comfortably on the floorboards?

I have the same set-up but my wife has short legs and my stock passenger boards have to be all the way up anyway. Maybe you need to do what I did----get a wife with shorter legs, it worked for me!

The Seals have plenty of support at the back end. You should have no problem having your passenger use the Seals instead of the footboards.

Also see no problem removing the passenger footboards if you don't need them.

I just looked at mine on my 2012 RT. You can in fact just remove the passenger footrests.

Wife and I share driving on long trips. She's short. I'm tall. When she's on the back she uses the stock foot pegs. When I'm on the back I fold up the stock pegs and use the Seal Floorboards. The Seal Floorboards are very strong and well mounted so there is no problem with both of us using them at the same time. Part of the beauty of the floor boards is the versatility that they give you.

Great, thanks everyone for the responses. We'll be out on the Spyder on Saturday, I'll have her use the Seals and see how that works for her.

I'm interested in your feedback. We just bought pretty much the same Spyder and are considering the Seal floorboards.

I had the deluxe version on my 2010 and have the pups version on the 2011. A great addition to have.

Very easy to install--less than 30 minutes in most cases. They are strong and sturdy.

Passenger floor boards can just be folded up for the trial period. I would leave them folded up if she is not bothered by them. My wife has long legs but she prefers the passenger boards down and she still reaches the Seal Delux

Happy to report that the seal's worked perfectly for my girlfriend for our extended ride over the weekend. I have the passenger footrests folded up for now, I'll like just remove them at some point.
