• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello. I just bought a new 2012 spyder with the se5 tranny and I was wondering if u have to let off on the throttle when shifting or can you shift while maintaining the throttle
thanks

SE5 tranny

Maintain the throttle, don't roll off it. Check out the "Do's and Don'ts for Spyder owners threads on this forum. VERY helpful tips for the newbies (like me)

You are NOT suppose to let off the throttle when shifting a SE5. Just maintain the throttle position when shifting and the bike will take care of the rest.

:congrats::welcome:,

You can just push the button the system will take care of itself. The biggest thing is to keep your rpm up above 4000. The spyder likes to run in high rpm, takes a bit getting used too if you've come from a high torque bike. Change gear above 4,500 any lower than 4000 change down.

Is the same for every model. Mines am rs does that matter or do I still stay on the throttle
It does not matter which model you have...RS, ST, RT are all the same. Stay on the throttle and let the throttle blipper do its job.
