• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:congrats:On joining the family. I have an SM5 myself, but I have not heard of any of the new (2011 models and newer) having issues. There are a lot of really good people on this site who will give you a lot of good info. You can search the threads with the search bar up and to the right. There are a couple members who get on during the day who will also probably weigh in on your question. I caught a couple posts that recommended keeping RPMs above 4000 to avoid damaging the clutch plate. I am newbie and that is about all I have picked up. Read what you can and do not be afraid to ask questions. It looks like I may not get the chance to go to spyderfest, but I will be at SITA 2013 and I hope to see you there.
Enjoy your :spyder:
