There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. SE5 Shifting Problems

Interesting .....I wonder if your " DANNY ", was the same Danny (BRP Tech ) that correctly diagnosed my shifter ( SE-5 ) problems ( that the dealer couldn't ) at Spyderfest 2014.....Mike :thumbup:

Mike,
Yes I was referring to your Danny. Update, talked to the shop that has my Spyder. They said it's wiring problem and that they were going to replace the wiring.

Mike:pray:

The rewiring failed, the tech got stock during the test and had to ride it back in 1st gear. There going to replace the paddle switch, maybe I'll have it by Thanksgiving.

All this work is begging done under warranty.
Mike

Nope

:clap:..............Well hopefully they finally get it figured out :thumbup:...............Mike

I got it back on the 30th of November, 2014. I took for a ride yesterday and It didn't work. I'm taking it back tomorrow. To date it has 1,845.24 of billing. Thank God I have a warranty. This is a record for me, I never had a warranty billing this high on any vehicle I or wife ever owned and not have it fixed yet. I hope it gets fixed before July 2016 that's when my warranty runs out.;)

Mike

I'm new here.
How long does BRP/dealer attempt to fix things like this before it's declared a lemon?
Post like this worry me. Glad I got the extended warranty but that won't make it alright
for my bike to be in the shop over 2 months. Feel your pain Mike.

Mike[/QUOTE....Since this started while it was under WARRANTY ......BRP is REQUIRED to FIX it even if it takes forever ( I hope not ).........Mike :thumbup:

My warranty runs out when the cost reaches 75% of the vehicle value. There is a federal lemon law and I may have to use it.

If your state's lemon law does not cover it you can use the federal lemon law. My wife is looking into the lemon laws.

Got it back again.

I got my Spyder back on 12/13/2014. I road it two days, putting on about putting on about 100 miles with no shifting problems. Last time I took back I told them to put a new shifting switch on. The bill topped out just over $2,000.00, thank God for the extended warranty. I had the front wheels aligned, it seamed to be a little better, tomorrow I going to ride it the mountains and see if helps on the twisty roads.

THIS MAY HELP.....

Dan;
I have my Spyder back and it shifting better than before. The last time I took it back I told them to change the paddle switch. They said that it was the BajaRon plug wires that caused the problem and replaced them with BRP wires, but they also changed the paddle switch. I road it 403 miles, no problems. I took gas mileage on the last ride and got 40.17 mpg and that was on back roads, with light traffic. That the highest mileage to date for the back roads. I going to some mods. to it before I put it away for the winter.

:gaah::gaah::gaah:.....Mike you got LIED to about the WIRES.........I hope they gave them back to you, because I'm sure Ron would want to see and test them.........IMHO I think they finally decided YOU were right about the SWITCH and THEY wouldn't admit it .........Stranger things have happened , but this is BS plain and simple.........I am very glad you have your Spyder back and it's working to your satisfaction , but I would be looking for another Dealer.........Mike :thumbup:

Mike;
glad to hear you are back on the road.....
WOW... 40 MPG.... SUPER....
I'm with BLUE KNIGHT MIKE on the wiring thingee..... sounds fishy to me that RON's wires would cause this problem....
as for 'putting her up for the winter'... does this mean you won't be joining us in January for our monthly luncheon....????????

Dan;
I have the old "MSD 8.5MM SUPER CONNDUCTOR SPARK PLUG WIRE" and test them. The only mods. that I did was the air scoops and cut the rubber air in takes for the air box by 1/3rd. The 40 MPG is only 3 MPG greater than I was getting before. I didn't know we were having the luncheon in January due to the cold weather.
