• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SE5 NO GO

Hopefully someone can help explain what happened???????
This afternoon I went for a ride:2thumbs:. It was about 55 degrees out and it started raining (not to hard). I had ridden about 5 miles in the rain when I came to a stop, made a right turn, shifted into 2nd gear and the bike wouldn't go. It never shutdown but I couldn't get it out of 2nd. I turned it off and pushed it off to the side of the road. It took about 3 minutes and 4 restarts before it went into nuetral and away we went.
Any body have any suggestions about what could have happened? I also hit the 1,000 mile mark today.
This was a demo that I got from the dealer, it had 700 miles when I bought it on 12/02/08.

hi you may want to repost this in general discussion better chance of someone helping.

Make sure that you are COMPLETLY off the throttle when coming to a stop, it should start downshifting as RPMs drop. If this does not happen have dealer replace transmission control module under warranty.

found this thought it might help

Would it drive at all? That would be dangerous if pulling out in traffic. My se5 once died in first gear and i was lucky no traffuc was coming. Hasnt happened since but today i started it in first gear wouldnt go into neutral.
