• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SE5 Clutch upgrade??

WrapFactory

Ive searched and can't seem to find anything? Are there any upgraded clutches on the market for the SE5? Will the SM5 clutches work? Any info or a direction to go would be a great help.

Thanks!

Can't answer that question, but on our 2008 SE5, GS, the clutch plates were still good at 43,000 miles. I would think that wear and tear are directly related to use and abuse.

I'm sure the stock parts are just fine, just like the stock exhaust, stock headlights, sway bar, shocks etc were, want to see better at night? put in HID's, more sound from the engine? put on aftermarket exhaust, corners? sway bar / shocks. See my point?

With the added power from the turbo I'm sure my stock clutch is going to get upset with me sooner than it would with 50 less horsepower.

Actually the clutch plates on an se5 get the most wear when people don't shift when the rpm's are not above 3500 anything below or at this mark the plates are just not fully engaged so keep them up. This does not happen when down shifting only up.
