• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

se5 auto trouble

09 SE5 and no problems with shifting.
Do get the DPS checked out first though and then get the dealer to sign some warranty that they will give you a replacement to drive if yours is in the shop at any time, and then get max insurance,,

I have a 2008 SE5 and it shifted great for the first month. Two years later and I am still trying to get matters resolved. Many things have been replaced but still hasn't taken care of shifting problems. I am trying to hang in there because even though it has had many problems, it is such a fun ride.

Warranty clutch repair done on my 2010 RTS SE5 and it runs and shifts better than it did off of the showroom floor!

im about to buy a new spyder and ,would like to get the auto trans.,but some one told me they are having trouble shifting,or slow shifting, has any one with the autos had any troubles with theres sifting?:dontknow: thanks for any help i dont want to make a big mistake,iv had 50 motorcycles and can shift gears but i think i could get my wife to ride an auto.

I have a 2009 SE5 with almost 14,000 miles and no shifting problems. There is a clutch recall notice. Check to make sure yours has had it done (if needed) prior to purchasing

It shifts down on it's own (or do it yourself) but if it fails to disengage, it stalls out..like a cars clutch & you fail to press it when stopping.once it does that it is imposs. to start again (because it is "still in gear") :yikes:

If my 2009 SE5, for some reason, stalls (very very seldom...) in gear, I simply press on the brake pedal and restart it.

It is a safety feature that, I assume, is also common in 2010 models...

Saludos, Pilo
