• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SE 6 Transmission stuck in neutral

2014 SE 6 about 16000 miles starts fine. Pulled key and let sit for 30 minutes problem persists. Oil level okay. Foot on brake. Will not shift from neutral to 1st gear. Will however shift into reverse. No active codes. When tapping shift paddle to go into 1st gear indicator shows E momentarily then goes back to N. No other warning lights come on. All relays and fuses secure. Any other ideas what to check before having to get it towed to dealer? Not an emergency sitting at home.

Let us know

Keep us informed. I ride the same machine and would want to know in case I experience the same problem. Lots of trips planned this year so I'll be racking up the miles. Good luck and hoping the warranty will cover it.

Will do. Update - tried to get it moving again today same results. Also disconnected the battery for 30 minutes to see if the computer reset would change anything, no luck. Will try to get into dealer this week.

Update

Reverse actuator (dealers term for it) went bad. That prevented it from shifting into 1st. That also damaged the attached cable. Transmission is fine. Relatively minor part, easy fix as soon as new part arrives, likely next week.

It is always nice when someone comes back to let us know what the problem was and the fix.
