• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey everyone! I Use the schumacher sp3 battery extender on my spyder. Is this OK to use? So many opinions out there regarding amperage . It says it's for motorcycle batteries.

Don't know first hand, however on Amazon it gets 4.5 out 5 star reviews - right/wrong? I give serious consideration to "Verified Purchasers" reviews - several there you might want to check out.

I personally do have a large Schumacher battery charger that has continued to work well for several years.

Cheers

As I see it..!!

most commonly seen here is the Tender. But as long as it is not rated as a charger (trickle or otherwise) it should work fine. There are others out there just as good...

Been using the SPF3-CA on the wife's Spyder. Very pleased with it. I use the XM1-5-CA on mine. No problems with it either. They both come with alligator clamps and direct connect harness. The SPF3-CA also comes with the cigarette lighter type plug too.

SCHMACHER

I bought a Schumacher battery maintainer at wallyworld about 4 yrs ago $19.00 and it works great......Mike
