• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Schuberth C3-Pro wearers...

I have a question: Do you use the included anti-fog lens (That hooks to the inside of the "real" face-shield), or do you just ride with the visor cracked open a little bit? :dontknow:
For years; I've just left the visor cracked, but now wonder if this is no longer necessary.
Thanks! :D

Pin Lock?

Is it a Pinlock system that you attach to the face shield? If yes I can tell you that they work really well. They can distort things a little, particularly at night. But it doesn't really change things much. But on a cold morning it allows you to sty warm inside your helmet!

I use a Shoei Neotec that has the Pinlock shield that attaches inside the regular clear shield. I remove it in the summer, but in the fall through until spring I keep it in. I especially noticed how well it worked in the cool, rainy mountains last fall...no fogging up whatsoever. Of course, YMMV.

i use pinlock inserts in both a Schuberth C3 and a Shoei GT Air and love it. not only does the pinlock prevent fogging, but allows me to keep shield closed to maintain the quiet.

Thanks, guys!
I've always ridden with the shield cracked open a bit. It goes back over fifty years of riding motorized toys! :D
This new bucket will require a paradigm shift..

All my Nolan helmets come with the pin lock visor attachment. Have to say I have never used them. In cooler weather, I usually crack the visor open a bit. Guess I will have to give these a try this year.

Fall is coming in Alaska. The trees are turning yellow, its getting back down into the low 60's, and the leaves are coming down. It was a great summer--but as usual--too short.

Same here. I've had helmets with pin-lock shields but never used them. Maybe because I don't ride the really cold weather. But when it is cold or very rainy, that would be a good strategy.

The Schuberth helmets seem to be set up to REALLY control the airflow into the helmet...
I guess that I'm just worrying that if I drop the shield: I might suffocate!
(And fog everything up!)

Don't worry about suffocating, Bob. Your shield will probably fog up and you'll die in a crash, instead!

Big fan of pinlock

Have had the c3 for this whole season, and the pinlock is awesome. Even though they seal amazingly, you still get plenty of fresh air when riding with the shield down. Try it out, you will really enjoy being Ble to shut shield and not fog.

The Jackets Arrived Today

New Gear 02.jpg
To go along with the new Schuberth helmets; we also ordered Speed & Strength's "Chain Reaction" jackets.
They have removable panels to allow for more airflow, and a waterproof barrier on the inside of the jacket that can also be removed. It seems to be relatively light; very comfortable, and cut with a longer back, to allow for protection in the seated position.
I'll get some miles on this gear, and report back. :D

yeah, go out and get good n wet and fogged all up and let us know.
at least w/your gear you will make a good lookin corpse.

:hun: Is somebody hoping that I die on a rain-slicked road? :yikes:

"Doing your Minnie Pearl impression? Don't forget to cut off the tags before you hit the road!:clap: "

:D The tags were removed as soon as the Missus pronounced hers to be "acceptable". :D
