• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Getting to ready to schedule 600 mile oil change for new 2012 RT-S. Does anybody know any dealers in northeast or central Ohio who extend a discount
to members of SpyderLovers?

Honda East of Toledo, is a sponsor, Don't know if they do.:dontknow:
But why not ask the dealer you bought it from if they do??? It's always good to have a relationship with the selling dealer, Unless your not confident with their service department....

Sometimes--but not always--discounts on service price usually amount to discounts on the quality of service. Cheapest is not always the best route to go. Oops, my side panel just fell off. etc.

I did my own oil change and then took Veronica to my LD (Ted's Motorcycle World, Alton, IL) for the rest of the service. (https://www.facebook.com/TedsMotorcycleWorld?fref=ts) Top notch service, they did the list of checks, replaced the side panel with the updated one, and even washed her. She needed a bath, the last two rides had been in the rain, and during the short trip to the dealer it was drizzling. Just a great experience, and only 147.00. Obviously if they had done the oil change it would have been more, but I saved about 50.00 doing it myself. That's fuel for another couple rides, and maybe a cheeseburger too. I hope you find a dealer that is reasonable but thorough.

I had my 600 mile completed by Honda East. I didn't receive any discount but I was able to shedule the maintenance and they did it while I waited. This was a big plus; especailly during riding season.

No, but I see what ya did there... :-). I'm pretty picky about my oils, the handle comes from a lot of experience with 2 strokes back in the day. Keeping them running without self destructing pretty much depended upon bean oils. And who can resist the smell of race fuel and Castor? Anyhoo, I went with LubroMoly 10w40 in Veronica, and HiFlo filters for the engine and trans. I'm a fan of LM products, based on a performance for the dollar value. Moderately priced, very good quality, and a business concept that needs to be looked at by many companies, in America and abroad.

Club memberships..!!

We are members of "Spyder Ryders of America..San Diego Chapter" and get discounts in several shops in our area. But like mentioned above, check dealer where you purchased it they give you breaks on parts...good luck..!!

It's not that I'm not confident with the dealer. Bought the RT-S from ASK in Columbus and they are a little over 200 miles away from home. I had a very good experience with them by the way. I know there are three dealers (I think) closer to me - Johnny K's, Powersports of Cleveland and J and J Sales. Has anybody had any experience with any of those three? Johnny K's is the closest to me at about 40 miles, but was just curious. Thanks.
