• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Saturday about 10:45a.m. I started out for my ride to Hell, MI. It started sprinkling on me so I put on my rain suit just in case. By the time I got 20 minutes south it was pouring. I thought about turning around and going home but I had heard it was going to be off and on all day and maybe others might show up and then I would feel bad. I pulled into Screams Ice Cream about 11:58am. No one was there. I decided to give it about half an hour and see what happened. At 12:10pm Bob and Joan showed up. Yeah!! We decided to go next door and have lunch first and see if the weather cleared up or if anyone else would show up. By the time lunch was over at It's a Damn Site Inn (food was excellent by the way) the weather was clear and it was partly sunny. No one else had joined us though. We rode for about an hour and a half through lower Michigan, over by Mason back towards Brighton and then up to Argintine and out to Linden and Fenton. From there, Joan and Bob headed back home south and I headed back home north. It turned out to be a very nice ride and a nice day with good company. So sorry more folks couldn't make it but we had fun. It looks like our trip to the UP is growing as well and I am really looking forward to it. Here are just a couple of photos from our visit to Hell.

Sorry Deb, if there is even a CHANCE of rain, I won't take my Spyder out. It rained most of the day where we live in Romulus.

Rain started early here. Not in a mood to ride in it for kicks, I guess. Forecast said storms, but they never came. Lightning and bikes don't mix, though...chickened out. By the time the rain stopped, it was a bit late. One of these days we will get together.

Rained here in Jackson Saturday HARD and the picnic we went to had to be moved inside. I was in Hell on Thursday on my way back from Brighton and the 600 mile service so I did get to visit Screams. Hope to hook up on another ride. Anyone going to the Ride for Kids in Ann Arbor on August 24?

Glad you had a great trip! I just love the name of that place - you can come home and just say "I've had the trip from Hell" LOL!!!!!:2thumbs:

Ever go to Intercourse, PA? LOL!!!!!!!!! I've been there - full of Amish - go figure! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:doorag:

I think Michigan is the only state where you can ride from Hell (lower penninsula) to Paradise (upper penninsula) in one day. Proprietor of Screams Ice Cream store in Hell claims that the round trip from Hell to Paradise and back is 666 miles. I guess it depends on what route you take.

Sorry I missed the fun but my Spyder is still being painted. Grrrr! Ah well, I'll see you guys in a few weeks and I'm sure I'll go to Hell someday.

Sounds like it was a good ride. Sorry was unable to join you i had school on saturday.

maybe next time
