• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Same old questions, with a new twist.

you're a good man, Tom. I've let some of my friends try it out but those that I don't care for so much I'll tell them to give me a buck and I'll let them be my b*&!@ :D Haven't had any takers for that yet!

Got tires for my car and had to go back because one kept going flat. The guy who waited on me said the guys say you have a trike. I said yes and he started telling me how his wife wanted him to quit riding crotch rockets and get a goldwing trike but he did not feel he was ready for a goldwing trike yet. I pulled SpydeLovers.com up on his computer and showed him mine. His response was now thats a trike I could get into, But I cant afford the high cost of a trike. So I told him the price and his face lit up "If I cell two of my bikes I could buy that! So I gave him my email and said when you want to test mine just drop a line and bring the wife along. I have not heard from him yet but I am sure I will.

You're a good man Tom. Not many would go the extra mile like you did. You're a credit to our community .. and yours.

Thanks to all for the compliments, but in the same situation, I am sure you all would have "gone the extra mile".

I actually don't think of myself as a Spyder Ambassador or anything like that. I do remember how it was when I first saw the Spyder and wanted to know all about it. But, recommending a Spyder to someone is ( in my book ) a pretty serious thing, all motorcycling is. I like to share my experiences with those who are really interested and excited, but I don't think I try to sell anyone. I point everyone to SpyderLovers.com and tell them that there are clouds that come with those silver linings.

And while nobody has ever called me shy, I don't go out of my way to talk with people or yak about the Spyder. ( other Spyder riders being the exception ). But at heart, I am a motorcyclist. I love the open roads and the whole experience of riding alone. I really like the thought that others are out there doing the same thing. Despite all our differences, when I am riding, I think of us being friends - like the Elton John song.

I hope the day will be a lighter highway
For friends are found on every road
Can you ever think of any better way
For the lost and weary travellers to go

Making friends for the world to see
Let the people know you got what you need
With a friend at hand you will see the light
If your friends are there then everything's all right

It seems to me a crime that we should age
These fragile times should never slip us by
A time you never can or shall erase
As friends together watch their childhood fly

Making friends for the world to see
Let the people know you got what you need
With a friend at hand you will see the light
If your friends are there then everything's all right

Tom
