• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am looking for some sadlebags for my 08 gs. My wife and I are taking a vaction this summer with the spyder and would like more storage then just the front frunk. I don't want to break the bank on these bags, because they will not be on there all the time. the ones ive looked at so far are the nelson rigg cl890. I need the bags to work with her as a passenger. any info/help would be great. Thanks Troy.

ps were are new to the spyders and are having the time of our life with our gs. ( I do not have to ask twice if she wants to go for a ride).

The Nelson Riggs are probably a good way to go. The Givi and Corbin hardbags that work for :spyder2: are pricey and will break the bank compared to the Riggs.

I had the Givi bags on both the 2008 and 2009 and liked them a lot.

Honestly,
The can-am ones are very handy and well constructed. I never would have believed it until I purchased a bike with them on. They pop right off of the bike with a push of a button and you can even remove the mounting racks within a minute. They are held on by 3 quarter turn fasteners. Maybe you could find a used set or a smoking deal on eBay or in the classifieds here. :dontknow:

we've got the nelson riggs on our rss and we have the rain covers which is a must. the only problem i have noticed is in a severe rain storm, the rain covers don't cover the entire bag and the rear tire does get the back sides wet.

I don't remember the model number, but they are their smallest bags. my wife rides with me with no problem with the bags, but I do have the foot peg extenders as well. when I ordered the bags I also had nelson riggs send me extension straps to be able to secure it properly under the seat.

Check out RKA they make very good quality in the USA will make custom colors good price lifetime warranty and make tank bags and other things to all match I like that the Bags aren't there all the time to be in the way swinging your leg over and they are out of the way for the passenger the bags are expandable and the rain problem can be solved by using a lg plastic garbage bag as an interior liner there is very little if any rain penetration anyway
