• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Robert SpyderRyder (drbob4d on here) and I completed the Saddlesore 1000 today. we rode 1014 miles in less than 23 hours. His 2012 RT L and my 2014 RTL performed flawlessly. Neither one of them burned any measurable oil. Our ride was strictly super slab circling the state of Florida with cruise control set for 78 mph most of the time. We started and finished at Our great dealership Central Florida Powersports in Kissimmee. They gave the bikes a once over prior to our departure and fine tuned our tire air pressures which we all low when we arrived at the dealer. Most of the time it rained only 10 minutes per hour, but last night we had a two hour stretch medium rain as we approached and left the Jacksonville area. What a great adventure.. We had a blast!!!! I pulled my trailer so we had plenty of extra water and starbucks, dry clothing, and all the mechanical stuff that we did not require...

Way to ride...

That's quite the journey, and love those horses you ride! ;-p
I'm glad your butt garnered the boys scout badge of Spyder ryding accomplishment... ;-)

Go lay down now,,, & rest those rosy cheeks. Hahaha

Saddlesore1000

Congrats!!!

I did the Saddlesore 1000 on July 12, the wife and I completed 1077 miles in 20 hours. We completed a round trip from Raleigh, NC to Daytona Beach, FL and back. We got a witness at a Daytona Beach cycle dealership sign the paperwork. We were in and out of rain alot but on the flip side the rain felt good because it was hot.
I've turned in all my paper work and waiting on the certificate. Last but not least, the Spyder (2014RT SM6) performed great. The only problem I had was my left knee got sore, the wife slept half the way down and almost all the way back.

Mr Orange!
Glad to see, that you're still keeping track of us!
I Hope that all is well with you and yours...

Wish I would have known you were coming by Doc. Would have loved to meet you and the better half. I just went to Tn. and back to Sarasota. Over 2000 miles put on the bike in 4 days. Sore butt !

Got a good deal on my Spyder at CFPS. and was going to buy a 2014 today but that may have to wait.

Ryding this adventure with my best friend was something very, very special. Starting off we were slightly frightened and didn't realize how great this would be for us.. We would definitely recommend the experience.
by the way I am not buying the I am too old thing.. We are 59 and 68 so not pups

I planned to do it on my Road King, but my second stroke killed that plan. I'm enjoying my Spyder, but 1000 in 24 hours would kill me or guarantee a divorce!
