Saddlebag Release Handle has snapped off! Anyone got part #'s or names? Help to open?

Hi y'all, just got home from a ride and tried to open my left side bag to access my tire inflator. Despite being unlocked, the lever snapped off in my hand when lifting it. Although it looks like it would snap back on, I cannot get it on even enough to open the bag. Does anyone know the part number or name in order to find a replacement? Has anyone replaced this part before? It is a 2021 that I bought 2 weeks ago with a 3-year extended warranty. Should I try to get the dealer to replace this? Thanks.

There's a TSB on that issue and (if I understand it correctly) the dealer should replace the cables for the side cases under warranty if you still have warranty. The cables rust and finally freeze up...that makes it harder and harder to open the side case. I'll be interested to hear if the dealer replaces the handle under warranty. Keep us posted please.

They replaced mine on my 2021 RTL under warranty. Those things are a mess. Should have made it more like the ones on the F3T and F3L.

I replaced my own on my 2021. The 2 cables cost me around $130 if I recall right. My cables rusted through and snapped on a Saturday evening. On Monday morning I learned my warranty had expired on Sunday. They weren’t able to get them covered under the original warranty. The original cables should have never been used by the manufacturer. BRP knew better, but you pays your money and you take your chances. The new cables are stainless steel and time will tell what grade of stainless steel they are made of.
