Saddlebag back orders

TWILBER

Has anyone gotten the BRP saddlebags yet. Mine have been on back order for over 2 months and are constantly being pushed further out. They are now due the first week of May. Is it just me or is this just WRONG.?

And the winshield (Blue Ridge), for me is just too short..and BRP cancels the Route 66.

i know I sound unhappy, but only with the unavailability of the accessories I have already paid for. The F3 itself is absolutely awesome.

if anyone has gotten everything they paid for I would sure like to find out how you did I it.

Only the Windshield

I have several accessories on order. Saddlebags, Passenger backrest, Footboards, and Aux Lights. I did receive my windshield. I ordered the Rt66 and they sent me the replacement for it.
I've been told mid April for anything else.
I'm about to cancel the order for the saddlebags and wait to see if someone comes out with a cheaper alternative.
The accessory I'm really upset about is the backrest.

I have my driver back rest and love it. and the heated grips which are just fine.

What at is the replacement got the Rt 66? Hopefully it is taller than the BR.

I got these either same time or a week after the arrival of my bike (February):
1- BR windshield
2- heated grip
3- auxiliary lights
4- GPS
5- USB
waiting for:
1- saddlebag (dealer is ready to cancell and give me my money- I'll wait)
2- floorboard
3- backrest

I have all my accessories EXCEPT the saddlebags and passenger backrest. The dealer called BRP to get an ETA and they were told between April and June which they thought was a pretty big window but I've got no huge need for them at the moment, so I can wait.

Oh, and for those of you who think you've been waiting awhile, these were ordered at the beginning of September of 2014.

I got my passenger and driver backrests about two weeks ago. the blue ridge windshield came with the bike (F4 says they will have a bigger windshield available in about two months)
Missing driver floorboards

went with Nelson Riggs saddlebags and Tall Tail bag for alternate storage
for $225 total cost.. they can keep the OEM stuff

Idea

There are some beautiful leather saddlebags out there; some even lock. I bet they would look very cool on an F3. Why wait months for small factory bags, when there are better options?

$1299.99 Saddlebags

Now some will want their F3 to have nothing but entirely BRP OEM accessories on them and that's totally ok. But the rest of us, including myself will be looking for lower cost aftermarket accessories, particularly saddlebags. As was said, there are some very nice looking saddlebags on the market. Leather, soft or reinforced or leather covered hard bags or paintable hard bags in different sizes and shapes. It's up to the individual and anybody's decision is the right one for himself.

yes, that's true that everyone's choices are valid for themselves. My main reason for going for the OEM saddlebags was that I'll not use them that often and I don't want ugly mounting brackets messing up the look of my F3 for 95% of the time I ride it.

EZ Brackets

There is a product out there called EZ brackets that quick detach along with the aftermarket saddlebags just leaving the mounting spools somewhat the way the OEM saddlebags do. Therefore no ugly bracketry left on the bike when the saddlebags are removed, The EZ brackets are also lockable with a key to prevent theft of your saddlebags. They would be well worth investigating for mounting any kind of aftermarket bags.

m.I would like to see a picture of your Nelson Riggs bags and find out which model number they are. Also how you mounted then

My saddlebags have been on back-order since 2/19. I was told by dealer yesterday that GIVI is having trouble with the mounting design. No ETA !

Just got the call from my dealer that they just arrived. One set.....MINE MINE MINE ! (As with many others, on backorder since the beginning of time). Pure luck, again, they had them ordered and I picked up my F3 this week. So WOO HOO!:yes::yes:

Hope I get that call. I just got back from vacation and I'd left my spyder at the dealership while we were gone and they got everything else installed but still no ETA on the saddlebags.
