• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well my 2 week old spyder is down again. But i still love it so. This makes no sense. CAA is hauling it to the dealer 2hrs away. I have sent them a strong but fairly worded email. I am left totally toy less :(. Hope everyone else is going strong.

Problem went from very intermittent to perm with in the two weeks. Not sure if this is normal but nothing would reset it this am. Atleast i was in my garage. I am concerned about trusting the spyder. Should i be or is this the main gremlin after plug wires and all should be good?

PS Not trying to start any kinda of bashing at all i love my spyder and how it rides. Just disappointed is all.
 
Yeah its a little annoying as i asked the dealer to be sure all was upto date but i guess if the code didn't come up then they can't do anything i understand that. They did tell me they put the latest flash on it. So must just be a bad TB. Just rolled 3500kms yesterday i think.

I know its frustrating as hell & Teddy & I truly wish you didn't have to go thru this

There were some posts in the past, that if the DealerShip hadn't downloaded the newest version of the BUDS software, something to the effect, it could read a suspect TB as being good. And after the newest release of the BUDS Software was update, it could pick out the bad or suspect TB from the good ones, again, not word for word here, but something to that effect. So I'm curious if they had the most updated version of BUDS the last time you were in for this problem:dontknow:

We know how the trust issue goes from 1st hand expereince. Our 2010 RT-S, while we loved it, was the worse problem child machine I've ever dealt with in 41 years and after being in the shop more than in our pocession, I finally gave up, took a huge loss & traded it in on our 2011 SpyderFest Edition 1 of 5 RT-S (Teds Red Sled) from Len & the Great folks at Cowtown. We've just rolled over 27,000 miles of smiles in a little over a year now. World of difference between the two machines when it came down to problems & trust.

All I can say, in our experience, Dealer knowledge & Experience, especially at intial set-up & prep is what ultimately made the difference between a problem child & an ALL STAR:bowdown: Thank You Len & CowTown:firstplace:

I hope your dealer can get your issues worked out with your machine, cause when its running right, well, you already know the :yes:FUN & JOY:yes: that it brings. Keep us posted :popcorn:
 
Update!!!

Well spoke withthe dealer first thing (801am) this am and very carefully explain thesituation. Service manager was supurb and understood my frustration of two fullbreakdowns in two weeks of ownership. Said it will be their main spyder techsfirst job. Called at 11am tech was just starting on it. No problem had a jobleft from friday i can deal with that. Call back at 3pm (yeah i am annoyingwhen i am waiting to hear about a toy for repair) owner was now back in and i discussedwith him the money i spent and the multiple failures so soon. He was supurbaswell apologized said he would do what ever, full refund, new spyder (costdifference only) ect... At this time as well he told be the TB has been changedthey were just buttoning it up. So i said to make sure its trully solid and iwill try it one more time. He said tech will take for at least 100km run. Cooli said. He also offered to deliver it back to me which is great as its a 2.5hrdrive.

So still waiting to here she is ready. But aside from break downs which suckbig time dealer has been supurb. They are truly standing behind what they sold.They also keep a large inventory of parts to keep people from being stranded ashe described it. So would give a positive review of Loiselle Sports in emburn, Ontario. (so far stillto be continued.....)

Consider yourself blessed my Dealer or actually former Dealer was/is a LIAR AND A THIEF....Glad to here you have a much better one....Mike...:thumbup:
 
Josh you sure put the miles on quick, I have just under a 1000 KM, but just week-end driving. So far no errors or problems. Keep us posted and good luck. My dealer in Mirabel said all the updates were done, hope he was right!

update.....

Well it all went very well. They had it fixed tuesday they wanted to take for good long test drive cool with me. They took it to a show and shine or somthing wed :). I picked it up last night. They did offer to deliver it the 2.5hrs but i figured a ryde would help me build confidence back up in it. Put about 250kms on it last night. Seems much better on fuel??? I was not going gental either. Man these things can corner !!. Thanks for all the support guys hope i dont post up with any more issues for a good while. They also replace both my head sets while they were at it much clearer now. We picked up new helmets yesterday too we both got Shoei Quests really nice stuff feel a lot lighter than my 5yr old Arai. All in all a long be great day to have the spyder back. Cant wait for SPITA!!!! Seems so far away.


PS - How many miles/KMS would you guys do before trust is restored? Just curious on others thoughts. I am thinking 1000-1500kms??
