The place I grew up, Pontiac, MI, is about 40 miles north of Detroit, most of it is for sale, it has no PD, or FD, and is gradually being absorbed by what used to be suburbs. Sane people do not go out after dark.

Truly sad..!!

but we outsource and export all the work and factories. Cities can't live...the scary thing is if we were to be hit like pearl we could not win like we did then.:yikes:

I see some of the changes as positive. Even in the before pics there were signs of deterioration. In some after pics buildings have been razed and the lots "cleaned up" to some extent. This is the contraction of a once great city. So sad.
