• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ryker Road Glide Rack Mod

Tempts me to pull my Max Mount. Been looking at ways to add small bags to mine. Currently just have an expandable trunk zip tied to the Max - it works, but a flat mounting surface would be killer, and strapping bags to the rack's rails would be easy.

Great handholds for a passenger too. Add footpegs and a "p" pad and yer ready to roll!

PS ... looks like the only custom piece would be the side plates for mounting. Here's what the rack looks like from the factory. I'd also be tempted to just use pegs into the bike's frame and use the stock rack's quick removal latches.

I just re-read your post...I would advise against using that rack for anything over about 30 lbs or so. The MFR- in a Chinese sort of way, appears to be implying a 10 lb load rating, which I believe is under stated. The rack I bought (link in OP) is rated by the MFR for 30 lbs.

Thanx for the heads up ... what's a twelve pack and a pizza weigh anyway? ;-}
