• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ryker Rally vs 900 ACE

Amen to that, last summer was horrible with the amount of rain we got...

Saturday looks a bit sketchy here, but on the upside, its supposed to be hitting about 70 on Sunday and the dealer went above and beyond for me. Going to pay for it tomorrow night and he's opening the shop to let me pick it up on Sunday (they are about an hour from me, local dealer sucks). Now that's service!

well, problem solved / deposit placed.

Went with the 900 ace plus:
- max mount
- passenger seat
- side bag mount
- shad side bag
- 2 up spring

they'll have it uncrated and built for me to pickup this weekend.

Thanks to all for jumping in with your thoughts, greatly appreciated.

Congratulations!!!!!!!

Could it be that the Rally has a lower weight capacity because it comes stock with the max mount, hand guards, and upgraded suspension? Plus maybe the tires weigh more? Wondering once you add the accessories to the 900 you would end up with the same usable weight capacity.

Funny you should say that. When I spoke to the dealer he was also surprised by the stated numbers and we came back to the same guess, maybe the Rally just weights more with the extra bits.

Sure enough looking at the specs, the 900 ACE shows as 616 lbs where the Rally in stock for is 627. So.... Mystery solved indeed.. Bottom line is they are rated to the same total weights.

With all of that, what price point did it come in at?

I bought the Rally after riding the standard Ace 900.
My take:
The wheels look much better in person than in pictures.
Rally sits, rides, and steers more comfortably. Not so twitchy.
Is pretty fast. If the above doesn't matter to you get the 600.
Hand protection, rear rack included.
For the extra accessories I feel the Rally is worth the $$ if you want those things anyway.

I do absolutely agree they look better in person, but still prefer the blacked out look and lack of other silver bits on the 900 ACE. Price was less of a factor given that all things considered, these are relatively inexpensive toys and were close in cost anyway..

Personal preference like anything else. Can't wait to pick it up!

All paid for, on track to pick up Sunday. :2thumbs:

Anyone know offhand what an extra year of B.E.S.T. coverage is worth?

Thanks.
The one they set-up from me was apparently a pre-order and whoever ordered it completely ghosted so I get the benefit of a free year of B.E.S.T.

Can't beat that, realized when I got home that I really had no clue what that was worth.

When BRP had the early sign up promotion I think they said the extra year of BEST was a $200 value
