• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ryker Mileage per tank - what do you get?

Certain pumps always spill over. Even when it is way before full.

My bike has fuel indicator problems if I am just topping off with a gallon or so before a long ride. The thing will stay at full and the estimated mileage left will be really wanky until I stop the bike for a break. I am not going to take it in as I know it will sit in the shop forever and thy won’t find a problem. I will just live with it.

Overflow while filling is due to higher pumping rate on some pumps. I had more problems at Costco, than anywhere, but it depended upon which pump was used. Less problems if pump nozzle fully inserted using pumps in Nevada, Arizona and Utah. California pumps (Death Valley) were a pain.

From June 4, 2020 post:

On my 2020:

A. Fuel gauge does not register consumption until about 85 miles / 2.5 gallons used from full tank.
B. After ~85 miles, gauge is somewhat proportional.
C. Miles to empty does not recompute after filling.
D. Miles to empty recomputes after about 25 miles / 0.75 gallon consumed and then is close to accurate.

I think I read were that's common on all Rykers. I'll fill mine up and it will have full bars that will stay like that for about 50 miles or so before they start to fall.

The Ryker and any other Spyder and most vehicles have a sender unit in the gas tank ..... they are set ( for max ) to NOT touch the top of the tank ...... so depending on the vehicle how close that sender is will determine when the gas level ( ie amount ) begins to actually read correctly ...... Yes.
I think the issue with the Ryker is that the float travel does not match the tall narrow tank.
The float tops out long before the tank is filled.
