There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Ryker 600 +mods vs Ryker Rally - core differences?

Im trying to pin down the core differences between these two models.
Aside from a power boost and slightly better shocks.. and a couple add ons what a quantifiable difference that justifies the increase in price?

The price difference of these two models where I am encroach $3000.00 so I'm weighing up pros and cons modding a stock 600 with 3rd pty parts vs with the Rally.

If I change out shocks eg. to Elka 3, fit a new sway bar windshield and hand guards. taking the slight boost in torque and horsepower OUT of the equation it would seem that it would still be cheaper to buy the stock 600 and mod for a smoother/safer ride.

Is this right or is there something I'm missing about the Ryker. The HP and torque are a non issue because I would be restricted in the cc's I can drive intitally where I am anyway.

Thanks all

If you are restricted to the 600CC powerplant then you have really answered your own question. The 900 ACE model has an additional Sport mode throttle setting. The Rally model gets both Sport and Rally mode. Beyond that the upgraded accessories and shocks on the Rally model are the only difference. You are likely to get better fuel mileage with the 600CC model.

If you're going to be riding solo most of the time then the 600 will be perfect. If not, then the extra cylinder of the 900 may be more what you're looking for.

Given you are taking away the obvious - the upgraded motor/power - you still have the Rally Mode - which is what sells most on the Rally. While it doesn't turn off the Nanny - it drastically turns her down.

You mentioned the hand guards, extra trim pieces, and shocks - I'll say the shocks are better than I think you are giving them credit for. The rear can be adjusted on the fly as well - and is a much different shock than the 600 or 900. You didn't mention it - but it's just fluff - the rear fender is chopped - most actually don't like it - they prefer the full rear fender. It also has beefier tires which make it sit slightly higher and does better on dirt/rocks.
